Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on technique that uses a light touch to examine membranes and movement of the fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity. Clients remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a massage table or seated in a chair. Children are often treated on the floor with toys and books.

Infant Massage Instruction

As an Infant Massage Instructor, I work with parents and caregivers of infants under 6 months. Along with basic infant massage instruction, information on sensory processing, infants states, and motor training is presented. One of the concentrations of my practice is working with families and young children. Each booking accounts for 4 separate 30 minute sessions, making two hours total.

Sound Healing

Sound Healing is the use of instruments or the voice to change the balance of the body from dis-ease or dis-harmony to ease and harmony. A person who practices Sound Healing makes use of the vibrations that instruments create to initiate a healing response from the body. When placed on the body, the vibrations from tuning forks, hand chimes, or other tools like singing bowls, set up sound waves that travel through the body. Because the body is made of 70% water, sound waves easily travel through like ripples in a pond. These ripples can break up physical and emotional blocks. The goal of Sound Healing is to use vibrational frequencies specifically attuned to promote relaxation. Sound waves provide soothing relief to those who feel over-stimulated or over stressed by the harsh or chaotic environment around them. When the body begins to relax, the healing and transformation process begins.

What Clients Say

“I am so grateful to have received CranioSacral therapy and instruction from Melissa. She is an amazing therapist, who has decades of experience and training which combined with her insight and intuition make for an amazing session. She helped support me while I went through several surgeries in 2022. Every time I got up off her table I felt more calm, had less pain, anxiety, fear and anger. I felt more like myself and could tell that each session helped me heal more quickly and completely. I am also fortunate enough to call Melissa a mentor as she has been kind enough to spend a Saturday each month leading a study group for other CranioSacral therapy practitioners in he area. She is incredibly kind, patient, organized, intelligent and generous with sharing her knowledge and passion for this amazing therapy.”
